As the identity for the photographer is going to be based around his initials within the logo, I have researched into logo design that use only initials to create the logo. The typographic approach is a great idea as it will keep the logo to quite a simple and stripped back approach, but it means that it can be bold and stand out against the photography the photographer uses.
Its interesting to see how some of the designs just use the two initials to create the logo and other use them and manipulate them together to create some sort of shape within a logo. I think I am going to take the initials route to create a logo, but it may be part of a larger logo which will include more information.
