Nathan and myself have been brain storming ideas for a print exhibition that we aim to hold in early 2014. This is a collaborative project which will test our organisation and curating skills as we have to consider promotional material, print processes, cost and exhibition space.
Concept building
First of all we had to come up with a concept for our exhibition, as it will enable us to push forward and create a name and ideas for promotional materials. The main idea I had for a concept was bringing creatives together, as over the summer I learnt the valuable lesson that meeting people face to face in the creative industry has better outcomes over blind sighted conversations over an email.
Our main objective is to encourage contributions to a print exhibition that will be held in early 2014.
We attract a range of creatives to submit a design that will be used in a blind collaboration in which we will pair two submissions together in order to create a series of screen printed artwork that will be displayed within an exhibition.
This is quite a vague idea, especially when exhibitions main motives are to bring people together however through the power of the thesaurus we came up with some potential themes.

Theme
From the list above we settled on the word 'Dialogue'
We chose the word 'dialogue' because we wanted a theme that was broad enough to be interpreted differently by a range of creatives who work in completely different ways through the forms of photography, illustration, pattern design and typography.
Dialogue is a literary and theatrical form consisting of a written or spoken conversational exchange between two or more ("dia" means through or across) people.
A conversation between two or more people.
Conversation between characters in a drama or narrative.
The lines or passages in a script that are intended to be spoken.
A literary work written in the form of a conversation.
A composition or passage for two or more parts, suggestive of conversational interplay.
An exchange of ideas or opinions

We wrote a list of considerations of what we need to be aware of when we are putting together the exhibition and promotional material.
