Brief 1 // imprint // Printed Stationary design system

As I have spoke within the research of this brief, when it comes to the design of the printed stationary I am going to use the design system of 1:2 for the columns in which the design will be laid out within. This is basically using thirds within the format of each product.

For the letterhead and invoice this format and guide to the columns and how the content will be laid out will be used. By keeping all the company information and terms and conditions etc in the left hand column, this leaves the bigger content area for the actual content of the product.

This is the compliment slip. Again the use of the two columns has been put into practice on this product. They are in scale to the product above. The company information will again be put into the left hand column, leaving the right hand column for the message which would be wrote onto the compliment slip.

The final product is the business card. This uses the two columns like the rest of the products but the content is arranged differently within this. The main information for the business card i.e. contact details will be in the right hand column, with the name and company logo in the left hand column. This system can still be used to split up the information, but has to adapt to the information in which is being presented.

I think by using this system throughout all the products, it will create a consist aesthetic to all the products. Each product uses the system in the most effective way to display the content to the user.
This can also be carried through the the brand guidelines and even to digital products if necessary.
