The products for the information pack are based around three main products. The first is an information booklet, which will be split down into three simple sections. Each section of the booklet will include easy steps to save energy within the household, these steps will be ways in which you can adapt or change how you use products within the household. There is nothing that suggests you need to buy anything which I think is important. The information booklet will use bold illustrations, which are designed in the form of iconography as this is a key element within the design area for these types of products, the information that is displayed within the booklet will take on a manual style, as the content is mainly about products and appliances, I liked the idea of linking a manual style design to it all.
The second product is a set of postcards. These will take information from the info booklet and be illustrated with illustrations to help communicate the information. The postcards will display energy facts and help communicate the idea of the information pack. The idea of the postcards is that the person that receives the pack will be able to pass these on to other people and spread the word about the product and about energy efficiency.
The third and final product is a notepad in which the user can calculate their energy usage within their household. The idea of the notepad is that having it in a printed form the physicality of the product will make them actually go around the house and take notice of the products that they have the energy that they use. It may be easier to have this as a digital element, but then the user would be sat at a computer and only guessing what they have instead of walking around and taking notice of the products they use.
