Brief 12 // 21st Whisky // Initial Label

Working with the label type and the other elements for the label, I started to build up an initial idea for the full label. At first I started to look at using the label type in a different way and format, this was before I decided on the final type in the previous post. But this was more about how the label worked together as a whole.

As you can see from these labels, I have split it down into three separate sections, the main label area, the illustration that shows the process and the description of the whisky. For each of the labels, the colours is different and relates more to that type of whisky. These labels here are the old colours, but it shows how the change of colour from the ones above to the ones below, make it easier to view the design and how the colours work better together.

These labels above are again of the same design, but using the new colours. With the layout of the label, this is dependant on the amount of information I will put within it. The description side of the label, will probably be smaller as it looks to be very text heavy and normally there isn't that much information. I think that this area could be designed and laid out better to work with the label.

Thinking more about the description and making each of the labels more relevant and individual to each of the products, I have redesigned the description area, this has a small illustration which represents the type of whisky the product is. Also a much smaller description is used on this label, which fits in with the aesthetic of the label much better.
