Brief 12 // 21st Whisky // The illustrated making process

As part of the label design and the branding, I am going to use the making process of whisky within the aesthetics. This will create an interesting element to the design and also be relevant to each of the products. As this is very visual, it will be good to use this across the full branding and on other products within the range of deliverables.

This linear process shows the full process of making whisky. Using a thin outline this shows what each object of the process is and gives an understanding of what goes into the process.

Changing the orientation of the illustrated illustration, means it can be used over different products. The process also changes aesthetically and has a different view point by changing the orientation.

Having the process flexible and open to being changed around within the layout, it makes it easier for me to adapt the illustration and make it work across the printed material that will make up the brand.

Looking at adding colour into the process this will match the colour of the label on the bottle, the colour makes the process much better, it brightens up the illustration.
To fit within the format of the initial label, the vertical and horizontal illustrations were too large, in this case I needed to re arrange it into more of a rectangle / square format. Again like I said earlier the illustration does allow for it to be changed around, but still be in the same linear process. Putting the illustration into this more formal rectangular format, creates the illustration to be much stronger and better to look at.
