After looking at bookbinding over the last couple of years, I have found that this is something that i am really interested in. Not only is the method of doing the binding techniques interesting, it also ties in with the idea of production and involves alot of hands on work, which is another reason why I like this area of design.
Throughout this last year this is something that I want to focus on and with doing a lot of editorial work throughout the year this will fit in well.
The idea of this brief is to research into different book binding methods and technique, this research will result in collating and creating a research book. Through carrying out this research, I will then put this theory into practice through creating a range of notebooks. These notebooks will be focussed on the primarily the bookbinding technique used, but also the format and stock used within the notebooks.
